Rules of Playing Manga Duel Monster

STEP 1:
======
- Choose your character deck to build. Either Yugi, Jounouchi,
Kaiba, Malik, etc.
- Your deck must be a typical fighting deck in the spirit of the
comic book. As such, deck size must be exactly 40 cards.
STEP 2:
======
- The basic skeleton for everyone's deck will consist of the following cards.
[Monsters]
- 1900 Monsters x2
- Blackforest Witch x1
- Critter x1
- Killer Snake x1
[Magic]
- Thunder Bolt x1
- Black Hole x1
- Harpy Feather x1
- Big Storm x1
- Pot of Desire x1
- Angelic Donation x1
- Theft x1
- Change of Heart x1
- Resurrect x1
[Traps]
- Imperial Rebellion x1
- Living Dead x1
Total: 16 cards
This means that you got 16 cards already set for you.
Now, you got 24 more cards to fill your deck with!
Out of the remaining 24 cards, at least 14 cards must be theme cards for your character. The remaining 8 cards can be Non-Manga cards (eg. Cyclone, Genocide, Magic Jammer, Magic Drain, etc).
Please try to make a Battle City deck and NOT Duelist Kingdom deck!
You are not allowed to use cards that belong to other characters
in the comic.
Eg. You have chosen Malik. You cannot use Dark Necro, cos' that
is Bakura's card, etc.
STEP 3:
======
- Aside from the abovementioned cards, ALL cards are RESTRICTED to ONE.
- Use of Tough Choice is OKAY.
- All Non-Manga cards (Monster/Magic/Traps) which can inflict
direct damage are BANNED.
Eg. Cannon Soldier, Peace Treaty.
- The notorious Pod Series is BANNED.
Eg. Cyber Pod, Fiber Pod, Chaos Pod, Metamol Pod, etc.
- Non-Manga Hand Discard cards are BANNED, too.
> Twin Demons, Confiscate, etc.
- Injection Lily, Power of Unity, Magician's Power are banned, too.
- As mentioned above, each deck can have two 1900s.
For Yugi/Jounouchi, use 2 Gemini Elves.
For Kaiba, use 2 Blood Volrus.
For Malik, use 1 Gemini and 1 Newt.
- Try to vary the Attack-ratings of your Monsters.
Example, try to have one of each Monster of the atttcak ratings:
1800, 1700, 1600, 1500, etc.
Don't grab a whole bunch of 1800s and turn your deck into a 4-star
rush.
- Try to use only 9 Traps and below. Reason is because there is only 1 guy with Psycho Shocker and even though we know that Shocker is very XXXX, he is there to 'balance' the game. (Kinda like your school teacher.)
STEP 4:
======
- Arrange all your Cards together and, Ta-Da, it's Done!
